Leave M90 at exit 5 signed Glenrothes. Follow signs for RSPB Vane Farm on south side of Loch Leven. B9097 to Scotlandwell. A911 to Leslie, 1 1/4 miles Farmroad on the left signed Greenhead of Arnot.

As you arrive in the entrance hall of Greenhead Farm with its welcoming log fire you get the first hint of the pleasures in store for those fortunate enough to stay here. Your journey's end is met with tea and home baked treats served either on a sunny veranda if the weather is fine or in front of the drawing room's warming fire. The farmhouse dates from c.1840 with loving attention brought to bear on the more recent additions added by your hosts Maggie and Malcolm. Antique furnishings and family portraits adorn the house and plump sofas will draw you to the sitting room to relax and take in the stunning views whilst the abundance of board games and books will inveigle you to linger. The bedrooms are spacious, light and beautifully decorated; each with its own bathroom generously supplied with fluffy towels and bathrobes and scented bath essences. Outside, there is a lovingly tended garden with croquet lawn, fruit trees and a vegetable garden which provides food for the table. All this is set in 590 acres of farm and woodland providing enjoyable walks.
