The family home is on Rufus Dr. it is close to a variety of services;
A Recreation Center; which has a full facility gym, pool & skating rink... A skateboard bowl, a neighborhood pub, The Lynn Valley Mall, banks, fast food restaurants,
A Starbucks Coffee Shop & a local library.
All of these things are a walking distance from our home.
The local bus stop is only a 2-minute walk from our front door.
There are many buses’ that will take you on a
30-to 40-minute bus ride to downtown Vancouver.

The local High-schools, Sutherland & Argyle Secondary, and Capilano Umiversity are also in the area (All in school district #44.)
The local schools are about a 20-minute walk from our home.

In the home we have two or three rooms available to host students in.
Two rooms are on the top floor of house, one is on the main floor.
All of our rooms are beautifully decorated.
Each room has a large window, a TV, DVD, wireless internet connection,
a stereo, & desk, and dresser, lamps, bed, etc,
our rooms have single beds, Linens & towels are supplied.

Students have a bathroom that is shared with other students it is on the main floor of house.
We have laundry facilities available in the home; A day will be chosen for student to do their own laundry.

The family has hosted several students, from many different countries,
A few examples; Slovakia, Columbia, Mexico, Brazil,Columbia, Saudi Arabia,
Germany, Switzerland, & Japan, China, Georgia, & Korea & Peru, France too, even Canada
Ages of students ranged from 11 to 38 years.

Most likely when a student stays in our home, there will be another student from a different country, this will help in making the transition into the home an easier one.
