The Single Deluxe w/ semi private bathroom – A quiet and a very private room. Located on the second floor and filled with light. Lots of closet space, comfy desk, queen sized bed, flat screen TV with cable, wireless Internet, mini bar with kettle, water filter, tea, coffee, soda etc. You will also enjoy the little additions like air purifier, fan, and mirror.

he Neighborhood:
The Great Kills neighborhood of Staten Island is entertaining and wonderful to live in. It's safe and quiet (and truly American) but you'll find things to do! You can get all of your shopping done and you only have to walk 10 minutes to get to the stores. There are plenty of banks, restaurants, fast-food joints, hairdressers, medical offices, a library, etc. Parks and beaches are accessible within a short walk or bus ride. And it will take you 15 minutes to get to the Staten Island Mall and the restaurants nearby!

Nearby Attractions:
The greatest tourist attractions on Staten Island include South Beach (20 minutes from the house), where scenes from the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days were filmed. This area is also great for walking, running and sunbathing. The hottest restaurant and nightclub on the island is located there.

If you like history you will enjoy a visit to Richmond Town, where you can experience how New Yorkers lived in the 18th and 19th century (25 minutes from the house.) The Museum complex offers extensive hands-on exhibitions around every holiday time and they are really worth the visit! http://www.historicrichmondtown.org.

If you're looking for something closer to the house, there is a cute little park located within a walking distance where you can sunbathe or read. If you feel like going out for a fancy dinner or a night on the town, check out the marina, which is located right next to the park.

As far as transportation to the city goes, here are your options:
You can take an express bus, which leaves from just around the corner from our house. It drives through Brooklyn and it's a really scenic ride.
You can take the Staten Island Ferry, which is a big tourist attraction. And it's free! You pass the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on the way so it's a truly beautiful and relaxing ride.
You can take the express train during the rush hour, so it takes you 15 minutes to get home from the ferry.

The bottom line is that the majority of people who live in Staten Island work in Manhattan, so we all have to get there somehow – and on time! Whichever mode of transportation you choose, and no matter what your reason for traveling into the heart of NYC – internships, language classes or sightseeing - it will not take you longer than 45 minutes to get to the city. The house is located 5 minutes from the bus stop and 10 minutes from the subway station.

Pretend they are looking for a student but I haven't received a response from them in a month. Not trustworthy in my opinion if they cannot reply to your email even if it is to tell you that they cannot host you.
