SUSTAINABLE TOURISM: What makes this holiday different ? Njaya Lodge has been instrumental in the in the development of tourism in the town of Nkhata Bay. It has integrated successfully into the local community and is very much a 'part' of the town. Possibly the happiest moment of our 14 years at Njaya was the day our Son Jordan was crowned an honorary ‘chief' of the Tonga tribe as it meant we really were part of the community. Njaya has no walls or fences and the lodge is open to all members of the community and visitors alike. THE STAFF “The staff at the lodge are wonderful and make you feel instantly at home.
