A 2.4 metre high standing stone, between 4-5,000 years old and aligned to the North Star, stands in the garden close to the house. It is therefore reasonable to assume that the site at one time had a spiritual significance. Guests often remark on the light and peaceful feeling of the house. Over the years Achaban has retained its original style and comfortable family atmosphere.
